New Whitepaper up on SANS.org that I worked on in their checklist section for Mac OSX. Please feel free to email me <cedge@318.com> with any additions to the whitepaper you think I should make. Also, I have a book coming out in February on Mac OS X Security so if anyone is in the game to do a little peer review, please let me know!

Nortel Contivity Client for OSX

Hi folks

Anyone have any fun using this yet? What I need to do is reverse-engineer the settings from my Windoze corporate-supplied Contivity client - and then Robert will be the brother of my mother.

:-)

Shadow passwords and imap

So, I had some issues installing imap with 10.3's nifty new shadowing of the passwords. I ended up using the http://www.maczipit.com/imap-osx-patch.zip patch for imap, and using no SSL, but I was wondering if anybody had come up with a more secure way out? I mean, what is the point of shadowing the encripted pass, if it is going accross the machine in plain text?
